Welcome to the Damsel Preservation League or "DPL" for short. Contained herein, you'll find a multitude of damsels of all ages worthy of preservation, as well as many links to current artists & writers of the DID genre, and many old-school favourites. Although this is basically a research type blog, there may be some occasional "mature" themed comics so, beware of this. Also this blog & is moderated to keep the spam to a minimum. The majority of the images are ones I've personally "rebuilt" from either my own collection or scans found elsewhere on the 'net. Any applicable copyrights belong to the owners and I make no money from them. Also note that this blog is still a work in progress and will be added to as I continue along...

Night Owl


As promised, here's the complete 2 part story featuring Mary Marvel's battle with "The Nightowl" in Mary Marvel #24 (Fawcett~ May, 1948) I spent some time lovingly restoring the yellowed page scans the best I could and have included the bonus cover and a detail panel at the end ;) Normally I would have posted this in two parts but, due to a failed hard drive on my computer, I was without the 'net for a week & missed last Monday's posting. This "double post" should well make up for that...







Will Mary manage to free herself from her pressing predicament in time?

HOLD EVERYTHING! Here's another bonus! (and though there is no bondage involved, the peril is still there...) From the same book comes this Royal Crown Cola advert (found about a third of the way into the book); involving not one, but two damsels in a canoe about to go over a raging waterfall!
