Welcome to the DPL...

Welcome to the Damsel Preservation League or "DPL" for short. Contained herein, you'll find a multitude of damsels of all ages worthy of preservation, as well as many links to current artists & writers of the DID genre, and many old-school favourites. Although this is basically a research type blog, there may be some occasional "mature" themed comics so, beware of this. Also this blog & is moderated to keep the spam to a minimum. The majority of the images are ones I've personally "rebuilt" from either my own collection or scans found elsewhere on the 'net. Any applicable copyrights belong to the owners and I make no money from them. Also note that this blog is still a work in progress and will be added to as I continue along...

Bobbie the Babysitter

The bulk of my Richie Rich comic collections consists of later issues (late '60's-'80's) and most of the stories were reprinted from earlier issues. On the rare occasion that I have the original book, I'll note it in the post.

This example here for the Bobbie the Babysitter story, I scanned in from my well-worn copy of Richie Rich Success Stories #30 (Harvey~August 1970) It's just a simple one-page gag scenario, strictly done for laughs ;)

As an aside, I'll be devoting the entire month of February and most of March, 2014 to most of the "Harvey (comics) Girls", such as Dot Polka, Lotta Plump, Gloria Glad and some rarely seen characters that have been forgotten over time. Not all the posts will involve DID/DIP; more-over they will bring back attention to these long forgotten characters. So, stay tuned...
