Welcome to the DPL...

Welcome to the Damsel Preservation League or "DPL" for short. Contained herein, you'll find a multitude of damsels of all ages worthy of preservation, as well as many links to current artists & writers of the DID genre, and many old-school favourites. Although this is basically a research type blog, there may be some occasional "mature" themed comics so, beware of this. Also this blog & is moderated to keep the spam to a minimum. The majority of the images are ones I've personally "rebuilt" from either my own collection or scans found elsewhere on the 'net. Any applicable copyrights belong to the owners and I make no money from them. Also note that this blog is still a work in progress and will be added to as I continue along...

Nancy Drew Cover Perils Pt. 7 General DID 1

Here are a few of the Nancy Drew covers that fit with my category of "General DID/DIP". Most are fairly self-explanatory, except for Book #67. This is one of the very few times that the cover does not co-incide with the story. It is "over-dramatized". In the book, there is no plane crash as the cover would suggest, at least not like what is depicted. But I'm not issuing a spoiler here so, you'll have to find a copy and read it for yourself.

Nice selection .
Thank you for posting
I must admit that I was taken in by "The Sinister Omen" cover It was a very effective image and was a bit disappointed that the story did not develop to include exactly this image.
Of this selection "The Case Of the Safe Crackers Secret is my fave image .It has a classic look and a feel of tension ( which I thought could have been enhanced if Nancy was being shadowed by a sinister figure that she did not see does not see as she spies in the bank robbers
I like her outfit.
