Welcome to the DPL...

Welcome to the Damsel Preservation League or "DPL" for short. Contained herein, you'll find a multitude of damsels of all ages worthy of preservation, as well as many links to current artists & writers of the DID genre, and many old-school favourites. Although this is basically a research type blog, there may be some occasional "mature" themed comics so, beware of this. Also this blog & is moderated to keep the spam to a minimum. The majority of the images are ones I've personally "rebuilt" from either my own collection or scans found elsewhere on the 'net. Any applicable copyrights belong to the owners and I make no money from them. Also note that this blog is still a work in progress and will be added to as I continue along...

Political Peril

Below is the front page for The Boston Phoenix dated March 4-10, 2011. I no longer possess the article but I did still have the cover. The artist is Mark Poutenis. The cover is self-explanatory. I had to scan this in in two parts & rebuild it as you see it here. A bit of careful editing and de-yellowing and there you have it. It's interesting to note that the GOP is credited with being the villain, here. Did not Ronald Reagan appoint the first ever female to the Supreme Court? Yes, he did. Her name is Sandra Day O'Conner.

I had two copies but the one got pretty banged up in storage, not to mention both were pretty well yellowed. The scan here went through major reconstruction ;) There is kind of a "vore" feel to this, though, wot?
