Welcome to the DPL...

Welcome to the Damsel Preservation League or "DPL" for short. Contained herein, you'll find a multitude of damsels of all ages worthy of preservation, as well as many links to current artists & writers of the DID genre, and many old-school favourites. Although this is basically a research type blog, there may be some occasional "mature" themed comics so, beware of this. Also this blog & is moderated to keep the spam to a minimum. The majority of the images are ones I've personally "rebuilt" from either my own collection or scans found elsewhere on the 'net. Any applicable copyrights belong to the owners and I make no money from them. Also note that this blog is still a work in progress and will be added to as I continue along...

Unknown Lois Lane Peril

A few years ago I acquired the "remains" of an old (presumably) Superman comic. There was no cover and a lot of the pages were missing. Bits and pieces of the pages were in the comic bag and the pages were a deep tan colour. But because of the splash page and one other page I could salvage, I bought it. It was worth the two dollars. Unfortunately, I've not had much luck in tracking down the book these pages actually came from. I probably couldn't afford it anyway. Using the book's IHAs (In House Adverts) as a guide, I was at least able to learn the (possible) year of publication as 1942 (Batman #12 is featured in one of the ads so I was able to track that down on HAG.) Above is the only detail panel worth noting. Below are the two pages I managed to "bring back to life". If any one has the rest of this book or knows which issue I should be looking for, please let me know :)
