Welcome to the DPL...

Welcome to the Damsel Preservation League or "DPL" for short. Contained herein, you'll find a multitude of damsels of all ages worthy of preservation, as well as many links to current artists & writers of the DID genre, and many old-school favourites. Although this is basically a research type blog, there may be some occasional "mature" themed comics so, beware of this. Also this blog & is moderated to keep the spam to a minimum. The majority of the images are ones I've personally "rebuilt" from either my own collection or scans found elsewhere on the 'net. Any applicable copyrights belong to the owners and I make no money from them. Also note that this blog is still a work in progress and will be added to as I continue along...

Penelope Pitstop's Plethora Of Perilous Predicaments

If you can say the post title five times fast....

I've been looking for this book for a long, long time and finally scored not only issue #1 but #2 as well, from an awesome e-bay seller! Fun-In #1 was published by Western Publishing Co. under license from Hanna-Barbera, February, 1970. Each book features one Penelope Pitstop story. I had a lot of fun re-mastering this and there are 17 detail panels plus the cover, to go along with the eleven page story! This is the better (and longer and more peril-filled) of the two books. I will post issue #2 at a later date ;) For all of you that grew up watching the old Hanna-Barbera 'toons, especially this one, read along as the Hooded Claw tries again and again, to do away with our heroine, Penelope! Muwahahahaha!

The cover in full...

...and, of course, the details...
