Welcome to the DPL...

Welcome to the Damsel Preservation League or "DPL" for short. Contained herein, you'll find a multitude of damsels of all ages worthy of preservation, as well as many links to current artists & writers of the DID genre, and many old-school favourites. Although this is basically a research type blog, there may be some occasional "mature" themed comics so, beware of this. Also this blog & is moderated to keep the spam to a minimum. The majority of the images are ones I've personally "rebuilt" from either my own collection or scans found elsewhere on the 'net. Any applicable copyrights belong to the owners and I make no money from them. Also note that this blog is still a work in progress and will be added to as I continue along...

Fawn's Little Headache Problem

Fawn Carroll spent almost as much time trying to figure out who Skyman was as Lois Lane did with Superman. And, like Lois, she usually found herself in dire distress. In this tale here from Big Shot Comics #25 (COLUMBIA COMICS CORPORATION~July, 1942), Fawn finds herself in the wrong place at the wrong time...again. Never pick up hitch-hikers, silly girl! She gets a black-jack to the back of her head for her troubles. A missed opportunity has the Nazi thugs just keeping an eye on her, rather than trussing her up. Meh. I have other Skyman stories in my "rebuild" pile, that feature Fawn in a lot more danger than this one, so stay tuned to future posts ;) WARNING! This story contains some of the worst "German-English" I've ever read, heh...

Shhhh...Fawn's asleep. Thought I'd get in this extra detail panel for you K.O. fans...
