Welcome to the DPL...

Welcome to the Damsel Preservation League or "DPL" for short. Contained herein, you'll find a multitude of damsels of all ages worthy of preservation, as well as many links to current artists & writers of the DID genre, and many old-school favourites. Although this is basically a research type blog, there may be some occasional "mature" themed comics so, beware of this. Also this blog & is moderated to keep the spam to a minimum. The majority of the images are ones I've personally "rebuilt" from either my own collection or scans found elsewhere on the 'net. Any applicable copyrights belong to the owners and I make no money from them. Also note that this blog is still a work in progress and will be added to as I continue along...

Mary Batson's Premature Burial

Not that I needed the title here to catch anyone's attention but, well, why not? Here's a story from Marvel Family #76 (Fawcett~October, 1952) that I originally posted wee detail panels of to the c3c Yahoo group back in 2006 (or was it '07 or '08?) Anyway, I've since gone back and completely rebuilt the entire, 20-page story as well as increased the size of the detail panels. If anyone from c3c remembers this one, you can delete the old files if you still have them. These are the upgraded ones :) The story is an "Atomic What If?" And, though we don't as yet have "atomic" stoves or trucks, we do have "mini reactors" in the works. Read up on your Popular Science, heh, heh...This is posting in two parts ending with the first page of Chapter 2. It's one of the better cliff-hangers *evil laugh* Enjoy this all over again!

I can't stand the suspense!
