Welcome to the DPL...

Welcome to the Damsel Preservation League or "DPL" for short. Contained herein, you'll find a multitude of damsels of all ages worthy of preservation, as well as many links to current artists & writers of the DID genre, and many old-school favourites. Although this is basically a research type blog, there may be some occasional "mature" themed comics so, beware of this. Also this blog & is moderated to keep the spam to a minimum. The majority of the images are ones I've personally "rebuilt" from either my own collection or scans found elsewhere on the 'net. Any applicable copyrights belong to the owners and I make no money from them. Also note that this blog is still a work in progress and will be added to as I continue along...

Samantha's Bully Problems

WARNING! The story you are about to read/view contains extreme violence (for a comic book, at least.) Read on at your own risk. And though the story was not originally done as a PSA (Public Service Announcement), it could be used for one to-day. Scanned in from my personal copy of That Wilkin Boy #17 (THAT WILKIN BOY, INC.~April, 1972); Samantha Smythe finally gets fed up with Bingo cowering from her bully of a father and storms off in a huff. It's later on that Bingo finds out that Samantha has been badly beaten and robbed by two other bullies. Bingo decides he's going to take the law into his own hands but fails, miserably (and painfully). For those looking for Samantha's attack scene, it was never drawn for this story, only Bingo's fight-scene was. Fortunately, this is just a comic book character that makes a miraculous recovery. In the real world, things probably wouldn't go so well. Ahem. This is the full fifteen-pager with cover scan. Read on...
