Welcome to the DPL...

Welcome to the Damsel Preservation League or "DPL" for short. Contained herein, you'll find a multitude of damsels of all ages worthy of preservation, as well as many links to current artists & writers of the DID genre, and many old-school favourites. Although this is basically a research type blog, there may be some occasional "mature" themed comics so, beware of this. Also this blog & is moderated to keep the spam to a minimum. The majority of the images are ones I've personally "rebuilt" from either my own collection or scans found elsewhere on the 'net. Any applicable copyrights belong to the owners and I make no money from them. Also note that this blog is still a work in progress and will be added to as I continue along...

Patty O'Day's Haunted K.O.

Greetings all and welcome to the 1st Annual Damsel Preservation League's Haunted Spooktacular! During the month of October, 2015 I'll be celebrating here at the DPL with "haunted" tales of damsels in distress and peril! And what better way than to start off with a "haunted house" tale with Patty O'Day, newspaper reporter? Sourced from the DCM and totally rebuilt by yours truly, this tale can be found in Wonderworld Comics #22 (Fox Feature Publications, Inc.~February, 1941). As are many Patty O'Day stories, she has her share of distress. And if falling through the floor of the old manse isn't enough, she gets conked on the noggin by a falling stone, roughed up in general (fans of carry-offs take note), slightly injured in a car wreck and knocked out a second time at the end! WHEW! Though there is no bondage in this tale, Patty still gets "distressed". Have a read...preferably with the lights on...MUWAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!

class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">...let's see that second K.O. again...
