Welcome to the DPL...

Welcome to the Damsel Preservation League or "DPL" for short. Contained herein, you'll find a multitude of damsels of all ages worthy of preservation, as well as many links to current artists & writers of the DID genre, and many old-school favourites. Although this is basically a research type blog, there may be some occasional "mature" themed comics so, beware of this. Also this blog & is moderated to keep the spam to a minimum. The majority of the images are ones I've personally "rebuilt" from either my own collection or scans found elsewhere on the 'net. Any applicable copyrights belong to the owners and I make no money from them. Also note that this blog is still a work in progress and will be added to as I continue along...

Sis Had A Close Call

Here's something from my "I-have-no-idea-what-to-think-of-it" files. Really. I even had a hard enough time trying to think up a reasonable post title! The sequence here is from a 16-page promotional comic book, touting the uses of "Hadacol". Check out the Wiki link and be amazed...or disgusted. Anyway, the sequence has a brother/sister team following the bad guys into the mountains to get back a stolen treasure map. Of course, they are caught and left trussed up in an old mine. The girl, simply known as "Sis", is a ringer (more or less) for a much younger Mary Marvel but, this ain't no Jack binder art! I'm not even sure who drew this. There was no more info on the DCM other than the print date of "1951". The Wiki page might have more info if you want to sift through it.
