Welcome to the DPL...

Welcome to the Damsel Preservation League or "DPL" for short. Contained herein, you'll find a multitude of damsels of all ages worthy of preservation, as well as many links to current artists & writers of the DID genre, and many old-school favourites. Although this is basically a research type blog, there may be some occasional "mature" themed comics so, beware of this. Also this blog & is moderated to keep the spam to a minimum. The majority of the images are ones I've personally "rebuilt" from either my own collection or scans found elsewhere on the 'net. Any applicable copyrights belong to the owners and I make no money from them. Also note that this blog is still a work in progress and will be added to as I continue along...

Mayda Gets Gloria

Here's another attempt by Mayda Money, in her efforts to rid herself of Gloria Glad and have Richie Rich all to herself, once and for all...or so she thinks. Scanned in from my poor copy of Richie Rich Riches #21 (Harvey Publications~November, 1975). I did up a neat "OTM gag" edit for the other detail panel, heh, heh...

Betty and Veronica in Plane Crazy

AUTHOR'S NOTE: THIS IS A MEGA POST! PLEASE CONTINUE...

It took me a while but...I finally tracked down a decent copy of Life With Archie #37 (Archie Comic Publications, Inc~May, 1965). The only on-line copy I found was so bad I couldn't work with it...AT...ALL...! Soooooo...I did an e-bay search and got lucky, heh, heh. For years, very, very small (and poor) detail panels from this story of Betty and Veronica all bound and gagged (hog-tied, rather), had been surfing the 'net. Most re-posters didn't leave any other info as to which comic the scenes were from. It didn't take me long to find the actual source, which led me to a book search. The copy I now have in my personal collection is in VG-F condition and, I'm happy to finally share the entire story, here. The scene in question takes place in the first part of this story, as you'll see, below. The rest is pure insanity! I kinda went over-board on making the detail panels...EXTRA...LARGE! And I scanned this in at 400dpi. I also manipped one panel for some practise (which you'll see that at the end). The story starts off with a bang and the action never stops until the last panel. I'm still not sure who did the art or script (more research). There is something here for just about everyone! So, have an extended read (a full 13 pages!)!!!
